Nominator's project description

Professor Roger Alberto is an international authority in the fundamental chemistry of the artificial chemical element technetium and technetium-based radiopharmaceuticals. With his work, he has widely opened the door to clinical imaging procedures with organometallic technetium compounds. In the recent years, he has extended his research interest to the field of artificial photosynthesis. During his stay in Germany, Professor Alberto will focus his work on fundamental and medicinal chemistry of organotechnetium compounds.
